The protagonists are the population of Pottokas (Basque breed), who live in semi-freedom in the mountains of northern Extremadura, Spain. This is the only place in Europe where the behaviour of wild horses can be observed. Written by the eminent ethologist Lucy Rees and based on her book 'The Logic of the Horse'.
